This very large 320 ACRE parcel is located in beautiful LASSEN COUNTY in northeast California, aproximately 40 miles southeast of Susanville, 50 miles northwest of Reno, and only 8 miles northeast of HERLONG, where a new federal prison opened a few years ago. In addition, the SIERRA ARMY DEPOT IS ONLY ABOUT 1.75 MILES FROM THE PROPERTY. PLUMAS NATIONAL FOREST is only 15 miles away, TAHOE NATIONAL FOREST is about 50 miles away, and beautiful PYRAMID LAKE is about 20 miles southeast of the property, for great fishing, boating and other recreational activities. The parcel is rectangular in shape, approximately 13,939,200 square feet in size, and level with an elevation of 4,000 feet. It is located about 2.5 miles from Moore Road, a county road. From Moore Road, there's a dirt road that leads to a 1/4 mile west of the property. That dirt road is now named Cal Neva Road as shown on google earth and mapquest, but I do not know if it has become a county road or not. Use of that dirt road is permitted, at a minimum, by prescriptive easement. From Cal Neva Road, there are legal easements across the north and south sides of a neighboring 160 acre parcel for access purposes to this 320 acre parcel.
There are beautiful MOUNTAIN VIEWS and the terrain is level and covered with native grasses and sage brush, as shown in the photo, which was taken in the immediate area of the property. Electricity would be by solar power or generator, water would be by well and sewer would be by septic. There is no time limit to build. The Legal Description is as follows: The W 1/2 of the SE 1/4 and the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of Section 13, AND the W 1/2 of the NE 1/4 and the E 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Section 24, Township 27 North, Range 17 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Excepting there from a 2/3 Interest in oil, gas and mineral rights; Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 137-090-31-11.
