This auction is for a Microtech USB CameraMate Flash Card Reader/Writer NR

The MicroTech USB CameraMate flash card reader/writer is a small device that connects to any USB-enabled Windows 98/98SE, ME or 2000 PC or Macintosh computer.

The USB CameraMate was the first card reader available with a CompactFlash Type II slot to accomodate the new IBM Microdrives without the need of the PCMCIA adapter.

It also has a SmartMedia slot and accepts either 3.3v or 5v cards.

Here's the CF Type II slot in action with the IBM Microdrive -- the data throughput is about a megabyte per second or faster. See the chart below.

The SmartMedia slot reads any size SM card (both 3.3v and 5v) and the data transfer rate is almost as fast as with CF cards.
