To get there, first talk to the park ranger at the Pine Springs Visitor Center. There is a gate that you may need to borrow a key for. You will need to drive out of the park to get to the gypsum dunes, leaving and heading west on 62/180 for 14 miles, and then take a right (head north) on private road 1576 21 miles close to Dell City. Before you reach Dell city there will be a turn-off headed back east towards the Guadalupe Mountains. This road will take you 9 miles from Dell City and straight back into the park where after a gate there is a parking space with shaded picnic tables. |
The park is enormous and can offer an endless variety of climbing, whether you're staying for one weekend or several weeks. Equipped with a guidebook of the park, you will easily be able to find phenomenal climbs of all levels. It's easy to find beginner's problems right next to expert-level problems so that your whole group can enjoy a climbing trip at Hueco.
