The auction is for a great residential lot in Muskegon, close to Michigan and Muskegon Lakes!

You are bidding on the full price, not down payment or terms!

AREA DESCRIPTION

Muskegon County is located in Western Michigan, U.S.A. and borders the shores of Lake Michigan. Besides being located near the Lake and having many built-in recreational options, Muskegon County is host to many events and attractions. It has several beautiful beaches with public access to Lake Michigan. The County also contains three large lakes: Mona Lake in the south, White Lake to the north, and Muskegon Lake in the middle.

The property for sale is located near many beautiful parks and beaches!

Pere Marquette Park which is located less than 7 miles away from the property contains large expanse of public sandy beach bordered on the north by the Muskegon Channel. Park is the northern most end of 2.5 miles of City-owned Lake Michigan frontage.

Beachwood Park which is also located less than 7 miles away has the potential to maximize the natural beauty of the dunes while incorporating active recreational uses in the flat open spaces. Due to the sledding hill, this park receives considerably more winter use than most of the City's parks. The large oaks provide shaded picnic areas along the periphery. A new section of the Lakeshore Trail was built through the park.

In 2010 there was a $30 million project to restore the shoreline along Muskegon Lake on the east shore of Lake Michigan.

Thanks to this project Muskegon has started to reclaim the lake front for recreational uses. New housing and condominium developments, as well as marinas, have been built along the lakes. Most impressive of all, the County of Muskegon has converted an abandoned brown field into Heritage Landing.

Heritage Landing is now a beautiful park-like setting and home to popular summer festivals. Heritage Landing provides the venue for Summer Celebration, Muskegon Bike Time, Unity Christian Music Festival, and Michigan Irish Musical Festival. With carnival rides, music from popular musical performers, and fireworks displays, Heritage Landing brings excitement to the Muskegon Lake waterfront!

The lot is less than 1 mile from Green Acres Park and Smith Ryerson Park!

Smith Ryerson Park serves as a focal point for recreational activities within the Froebel neighborhood. The park lies in a natural valley bordered on the south by Ryerson Creek and is interspersed with a wide variety of lowland flora (maple, birch, willow, basswood, etc.) providing an excellent setting for picnicking. The community center, which is being managed by a neighborhood group, provides a place for neighborhood gatherings.

Ryerson Creek is 1,000 feet north of the lot. It provides a ribbon of nature through a heavy residential/commercial portion of the City. Natural ravine/valley formed by Ryerson Creek is heavily wooded and consists of varying terrain, from lowland marsh to a high-banked ravine. Residents along Ryerson Creek enjoy it for viewing scenery, observing wildlife, walking; and for fishing, boating and swimming in Muskegon Lake.

Muskegon City - West Michigan's Shoreline City!

Muskegon City is adjacent to two bodies of water: Lake Michigan to the west and Muskegon Lake to the north. The Muskegon River empties into Muskegon Lake at the city's northeast end. Without a doubt, Muskegon is a boater's paradise. With the sheltered waters of Muskegon Lake and access to Lake Michigan, boating opportunities of all kinds await. The City of Muskegon provides 4 launch ramps. They are located at Hartshorn Marina, Fishermans Landing, Cottage Grove and Grand Trunk ramps on Lakeshore Drive. They serve thousands of boaters each year and even provide access for great ice fishing in winter.

The state of Michigan is one of the leading states in the US as far as golf courses go. Muskegon and its surrounding areas are no exception. There are many challenging public and private golf courses within a 20 mile radius of Muskegon.
