You are bidding on a German watercolor painting of victorian woman in a purple dress.  The painting is signed "Strassan Weill" and dated "1788".  There is an embossed seal in the lower left hand corner than reads "Drogerie Kohler Frankfurt".  The frame measures 12" x 15" and the painting measures 9" x 12 1/4".  There is slight damage to the green velvet, near the bottom right corner, as you can see in the photo.  The painting was framed in the early 1960's in Clearwater, Florida.
