    End of Auction
    After the close of the final Alameda County listing for auction, all winning bidders are sent detailed instructions via e-mail on settlement procedures and how to provide the county with the necessary deed transfer information.

    Alameda County requires that the winning bidder submit the deed transfer information to Bid4Assets within 24 hours of the close of auction.

    Bidding Requirements

    To bid on this auction, all bidders are required to become qualified by placing a deposit. The deposit of the winning bidder is automatically transferred to the seller at the end of the auction. If the winning bidder fails to perform on any auction, the entire BidDeposit will be forfeited to the seller. Non-winning bidder deposit refunds are mailed within ten (10) business days after the close of the auction. This deposit cannot be applied to other auctions.     Settlement Requirements

    Full payment must be received by Bid4Assets no later than 4:00 PM ET (1:00 PM PT) Wednesday, March 25, 2026. - No exceptions will be made. If the payment policy is not adhered to the winning bidder will forfeit their deposit to Alameda County and may be banned from future sales.

    The following fees will be added to the final sale price:

    1. A California documentary transfer tax calculated at the rate of $.55 for each $500.00 or fractional part thereof .
    2. A County Recording Fee of $17 per parcel.
    3. A $35 per-parcel-won administrative fee.
    4. Where applicable there is an additional City Transfer Tax. Bidders must read the Due Diligence document titled "City and County Transfer Tax Information" to determine if an asset requires an additional City Transfer Tax that will be added to the final sale price.

    Only a successful bidder has the opportunity to purchase County assets. If the successful bidder defaults, under California State Law, The County cannot resort to the second highest bidder, and will be required to take APPROPRIATE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE BIDDER WHO DEFAULTS.
